Why Does Change Feel So Unsafe?
Every Hero's Journey begins the same way. The hero receives the call... and almost immediately wants to turn around. Dorothy wants to go home. Luke tells Obi-Wan he has responsibilities. Frodo insists the Ring should belong to someone else. Chihiro freezes as she enters the spirit world. Why? Because every transformation requires leaving behind an identity that once helped us survive. Fear isn't proof you're on the wrong path. More often, it's a sign you're standing at the edge of growth. The question isn't whether fear will appear. The question is: what is fear trying to protect?
Just as every hero encounters fear, every birth chart contains places that describe our deepest vulnerabilities. For me, those themes live through my Moon, Chiron, and Pluto. My Moon in the 2nd House has brought fears around security, self-worth, and whether I would have enough. Chiron in my 10th House has reflected wounds around being seen, believing in my work, and trusting that my voice mattered. Pluto in my 3rd House transformed the way I communicate, trust others, and ultimately use my voice. For years I believed these fears meant I wasn't ready. Now I see they were pointing directly toward the places I was meant to grow. The chart doesn't reveal what's wrong with us—it reveals where our greatest opportunities for transformation often begin.And that's what I hope happens for you as you begin looking at your own chart.

His 12th House was in Scorpio, inviting him to trust transformation and let go of certainty. Mars, the Lord of the Year, was in Sagittarius in his 1st House, encouraging him to courageously express his own vision as an artist, while his main character also overcame struggles and found her identity. The film didn't make him imaginative—his birth chart already held that gift. His Annual Profection revealed when life invited him to express a deeper part of himself.
